To edit a component/controller:
- Click the "Edit" button within the component/controller icon on the Desktop.
2. Make your changes. Depending on the element added, appearance of the Editor may vary.
3. Click "Apply" or "OK" to save your changes.
The component/controller settings will be changed.
For each component/controller added to the template it is possible to set name and color scheme.
For these settings:
- Open the "Info" tab.
- Type element name into the "name" field.
- In the color field, select the color to be used for the component/controller.
- Click "Apply" or "OK" to save your changes. The component/controller settings will be changed.
For each component added to the template it is possible to set automatic switching to a different component within the same template when a predefined amount of time expires.
Turning on:
- Open the "Control" tab.
- In the "Timer" field, indicate time period (in seconds), upon expiration of which the playback should automatically switch to a different component.
- Click on the "Add link" button and select the component to switch to.
- Click "Apply" or "OK" to save the changes made.
The component settings will be changed. The newly-created link between components will be shown on the Desktop.
Turning off:
- Open the "Control" tab and type "0" in the "Timer" field.
- Click on the "Add link" button. On the desktop that opens, click on the link removal button.
- Click "Apply" or "OK" to save the changes made.
The component settings will be changed. The link between components will be deleted.
For each component added to the template it is possible to set automatic switching to a different component within the same template when a certain event occurs. Such event is detected by a respective controller, which should be added beforehand.
Turning on:
- Open the "Control" tab.
- Click the "Event" button and select the controller you need.
- When the specific event detected by the selected controller occurs, the component in question will be switched to the component indicated in the controller.
- Click "Apply" or "OK" to save the changes made.
The component settings will be changed. The newly-created link between the current component and the controller will be shown on the Desktop.
Turning off:
- Open the "Control" tab and click on the "Event" button. On the desktop that opens, click on the link removal button.
- Click "Apply" or "OK" to save the changes made.
The component settings will be changed. The link between the component and the controller will be deleted.
The "Ignore restart timeout" setting is intended for components that must stay active regardless of the timeout set for the template, the expiration of which triggers the starting component. This setting can be used for filling feedback forms or other screens (stages), where it is necessary to wait for a user’s action before switching to the starting component.
To turn the setting on:
- Open the "Control" tab.
- Check the "Ignore restart timeout" button.
- Click "Apply" or "OK" to save your changes.
The component settings will be changed.
To turn the setting off, uncheck the corresponding box and save the changes made.
For each component added to the template it is possible to assign an audio file that will be played when the component is launched.
Supported audio formats for media display points:
- Windows – M4A, WAV, OGG FLAC, AAC, AIF, MP3;
- iOS, OS X, Android – MP3 and M4A.
Turning on:
- Open the "Audio" tab.
- Click the "Select" button.
- Select an audio recording and click "Open".
Click "Apply" or "OK" to save the changes made.
The component settings will be changed.
Turning off:
- Open the "Audio" tab and click the "Remove" button.
- The background audio will be removed.
- Click "Apply" or "OK" to save the changes made.
The option to recover component/controller settings upon restart is available for components, in which some settings can be saved and used upon relaunch, like sound volume level set in the "Sound panel". If the option "Save settings when restart" is on, the set sound volume levels will be used when the component is relaunched.
To toggle this option on/off:
- Check or uncheck the "Save settings when restart" box in the "Settings" tab.
- Click "Apply" or "OK" to save the changes made.
In order to toggle on/off background operation mode for a component, check or uncheck the box "Background mode" in the "Settings" tap.
Example of use: the "Sound panel" component working in a background mode in order to replay background melody parallel to the main component that shows the interface.
