The "MediaGallery" layer is used to create a playlist consisting of images and videos, with the option of inserting cut-in advertisements. Supported video formats are:
- Windows – MP4 (H.264), FLV (H.263), FLV with alpha-channel (transparency), AVI, MKV, MOV, WMV, DV, GXF, TS, TP, M4V, MPG, M2V, MXF, MPEG, MKV, PMF, PVA, AMV, NUV, M2TS, LXF, ASF, FLI, 3GP, NSV, MVI, NUT, SMV, VOB;
- iOS – FLV (H.263), FLV with alpha-channel (transparency);
- OS X – MP4 (H.264), FLV (H.263), FLV with alpha-channel (transparency);
- Android – MP4 (H.264), FLV (H.263), FLV with alpha-channel (transparency).
For the layer to be functional, it must be filled with content.
Content can be either local or uploaded from the Displayforce Manager.
Content can be added to the component in several ways:
- from the Media library (local content);
- from the Properties panel of the layer (local content and content uploaded from the Displayforce Manager).
To add content from the Media library:
- Drag content from the Media library into the layer.
- Select "Paste files to media gallery "MediaGallery1", where "MediaGallery1" stands for the name of the layer in question.
To add content from the Properties panel of the layer:
- Click on the "Add to content".
- Select the content source – "Files…" (for local content) or "CMS" (if content is uploaded from the Displayforce Manager), "XML" (if content is uploaded from the XML-file).
- If "Files…" has been selected, choose one or more files and click "Open".
Regardless of the method selected, the content will be added to the layer.
If "CMS" has been selected, corresponding caption will appear in the content "folder" in Layers panel. Content placement will be managed in the Displayforce Manager, in the campaign settings.
To remove content from the Media Library:
- On the scene select the "MediaGallery" layer that you want to remove some content from.
- In the layer playlist, select the file to be removed.
- Press Backspace or Delete on your keyboard.
- The content will be removed from the layer.
- Click "Apply" or "OK" to save the changes made.
Duration of display is used for all static elements of content, e.g., images.
To set duration of display for content elements, specify the required value in the "Duration" field. Display duration for content elements will be set.
To adjust content scaling settings depending on the screen resolution, select one of the available values in the "Scale" field:
- Auto – actual size of content elements (when layer size exceeds content size);
- Real – actual size of content elements;
- Extended – content elements are extended (subject to deformation, each side is set according to project size);
- Fit – content is fit (scaled according to the shorter side);
- Outfit – content is outfit (scaled according to the longer side).
Content scaling settings will be changed.
To make a playlist loop, check the "Repeat the playlist" box. The playlist will be put on repeat. To undo repeating, uncheck the "Repeat the playlist" box
To choose the order in which the content will be played, select one of the available values in the "Order" field:
To set effect for content display, in the "Effects" field, select one of the values available and the direction of animation:
- none;
- Push out;
- Fade;
- Roll over;
- Wipe;
- Fly;
- Flip.
After that, define additional settings in the second "Effects" field:
- Back easeOut;
- Bounce easeOut;
- Elastic easeOut;
- Linear easeOut;
- Regular easeOut;
- Strong easeOut.
In the "Duration" field, specify the desired duration of the effect in seconds. Content display effect will be set up.
Click "Apply" or "OK" to save the changes made.
By default, user proceeds to the next element of content automatically. In addition, the layer provides for paging by tapping screen at the media display point.
To set the content paging mode, select one of the values available in the "Control type" field:
- none – for automatic paging of content;
- Tap – for automatic paging and manual paging by screen-tapping.
The desired content paging mode will be set up.
The layer enables you to display cut-in ads at specified intervals. Each such cut-in ad can be an image, a video clip or flash-file.
Advertisements can be added and removed similarly to the process described above.
To set up intervals of playback, specify the period of time between two advertisements in the " Advertising interval" field. The period of time shall be indicated as "Hours:Minutes:Seconds". Playback interval will be set up for the selected cut-in ad.
To change the order of playback of cut-in ads, drag the ads up and down the list. The ad on top of the list will be displayed first.
If you need to switch to a component, this component should be added beforehand.
To set up switching:
- In the "After end go to" field, click on the screen icon or the component icon, depending on the destination you need.
- Select the screen or component for switching.
- Switching will be set up. If a component has been selected, the newly created link between the current component and that selected will be shown on the Desktop.
- Click "Apply" or "OK" to save the changes made.
To turn this setting off:
- for a scene – click on the screen icon and select "No";
- for a component – click on the component icon, on the Desktop that opens click the link removal button.
The layer enables synchronous display of content of "MediaGallery" layers in different project templates at different media display points.
To adjust setiings:
- Select one of the values available in the "Sync" field:
- If the current project template is planned to be used as the master that other templates will be synchronized in playback with, check the "Master" box.
- In the "Group" field, enter the group name:
- If the current project template is planned to be used as the master, assign an arbitrary name.
- If the current project template is planned to be used as slave, enter the group name specified in the master template.
- Adjustment of settings will be completed.
- Click "Apply" or "OK" to save the changes made.
When respective project templates are launched at media display points, the layers will synchronously display identical content.
