The "Sound panel" component is used to create audio playlist.
Supported audio file formats for media display points are:
- Windows – M4A, WAV, OGG FLAC, AAC, AIF, MP3;
- iOS, OS X, Android – MP3 and M4A.
The "Sound panel" Editor includes:
- Volume settings area;
- Advertisements playlist;
- Audio inserts playlist;
- Player and main playlist.
For the component to be functional, it must be filled with content.
The source of audio recordings can be either local content or content sent from the CMS or other external source.
Audio recordings can be added in various ways:
- from the Media library;
- via playlist.
To add audio from the Media library drag content from the Media library to the playlist.
To add content via playlist:
- In the playlist, click "Add".
- Select the audio source – local content, link to external content, or the CMS. Regardless of the method selected, the audio recording or link thereto will be added to the playlist.
- Click "Apply" or "OK" to save the changes made.
To remove an audio recording from playlist:
- In the playlist, select the audio recording to be removed.
- Click the removal button.
- The audio recording will be removed from the playlist.
- Click "Apply" or "OK" to save the changes made.
To play audio recording in random order, check the "Random" box in the playlist.
Shuffling will be toggled on. To toggle shuffling off, uncheck the "Random" box.
Sound panel enables broadcasting of internet-radio.
To add the internet-radio into the playlist:
- In the playlist, click "Add";
- Choose the "Link";
- In the line "Link" enter the address of the Internet resource;
- An element with a link to the specified resource will appear in the playlist;
- Click "Apply" or "OK" to save the changes made.
Sound panel enables adding audio advertisements, played according to specified schedule.
Before adding an audio advertisement, expand the advertisement playlist. To do so, click on the "Advertising" caption.
To add audio from the Media library drag content from the Media library to the advertisement playlist.
Advertisement will be added.
To add content via playlist:
- In the advertisement playlist, click "Add".
- Select the audio source – local content or the CMS. Regardless of the method selected, the audio recording or link thereto will be added to the playlist.
- Click "Apply" or "OK" to save the changes made.
To set the frequency for playback of audio advertisement, indicate the corresponding time interval in the "Repeat interval" field.
The period of time shall be indicated as "Hours:Minutes:Seconds".
To play audio advertisements in random order, check the "Random" box in the advertisements playlist.
Shuffling will be toggled on.
To toggle shuffling off, uncheck the "Random" box.
To remove advertisement from playlist:
- In the advertisements playlist, select the audio recording to be removed.
- Use keyboard shortcut to remove the advertisement. Keyboard shortcut depends on the OS used: Delete for Windows and Fn + Backspace for Mac OS.
- Advertisement will be removed from playlist.
- Click "Apply" or "OK" to save the changes made.
This component enables adding audio inserts, that play on command.
Before adding audio inserts, expand the corresponding playlist. To do so, click on the "Samples" caption.
Audio insert can be added in one of the following ways:
- from the Media library;
- via the audio inserts playlist.
To add an audio insert from the Media library drag the audio recording from the Media library to the audio inserts playlist.
To add an audio insert via the audio inserts playlist:
- In the audio inserts playlist, click the "Plus" button.
- Select the audio recording and click "Open".
If necessary, fill in the "Message" field. When the audio insert is played, this message will be sent to media display points where it can then be processed to trigger certain actions.
You can start the audio insert manually by clicking on the desired audio recording on the screen Displayforce Player.
Or via message P2P/RS-232.
To remove an audio insert from playlist:
- In the audio inserts playlist, select the audio recording to de removed.
- Click the removal button.
- The audio insert will be removed from playlist.
- Click "Apply" or "OK" to save the changes made.
The component enables volume level settings for:
- main content from playlist;
- audio inserts;
- advertisements;
- main content from playlist during playback of advertisements;
- main content from playlist during mike use.
To adjust the volume level, specify it in the respective field.
