Data transfer between different parts of the platform is encrypted – HTTPS protocol and SSL certificates with 128-bit TLS encryption are used. The transfer is made using port 443. When encryption is disabled on the server side, data transfer occurs via the HTTP protocol on port 80.
During operation, the following data is transmitted:
Displayforce Player
- Synchronization of media plan data;
- Downloading projects and content in accordance with the media plan;
- Sending technical information about a broadcast point;
- Sending telemetry data (RAM usage, battery charge, etc.);
- Service command data synchronization (scheduled and one-time);
- Playback status message;
- Receiving a command to take a screenshot of the screen and sending the result;
- Sending statistics data about playing content;
- Sending content view data;
- Sending data received via forms (special projects);
- Loading software update.
Displayforce Designer
- Getting information about device statuses (from the server);
- Sending one-time service commands to devices (via server);
- Uploading a project to the platform;
- Loading software update.
