Subscriptions are unstransferrable between platforms
Many partners asks us regarding the possibility of transfer or migration of subscriptions from one CMS platform to another.
Reasons for requesting subscription transfer often are:
- "My end customer/I decided to keep all under a single platform";
- "I want to change the platform name";
- "This specific project is over and I wish to avoid waste of subscription time".
Transfer of subscription between platforms is NOT possible.
The reason is: within DISPL's backend, whenever a purchase happens, it associates a new subscription to a platform, and NOT to a user. Thus, whichever subscription you may purchased, are purchased for a platform, not for your user account.
How to avoid needing transfers:
- Employ free trial platforms and/or limited NFRs for your end customers' projects;
- Learn how you can change a platform's name;
- For small projects, seek concentrating the users' devices inside your own platform, to make use of unused subscription time in other small projects.
