The "Devices" page is designed to manage broadcast points.
The page allows you to monitor the current status of broadcast points, including the playback status of project templates.
The "Devices" page provides the ability to group broadcasting points by catalogs and tags.
You can open the page by clicking on the screen icon in the lower left corner of the platform interface:
To add device:
- Click the Add Device button.
- In opened window enter an arbitrary name for the point to be added and click the "Add device" button.
- Copy the code from the window that appears. It must be entered at the broadcast point in the DISPL Player program.
- After copying the code, the window can be closed.
- After entering the code on the broadcast point, it will be connected to the platform and will become available for management from DISPL Manager and Designer.
To add a device using a QR code and connect to WiFi:
When you don't have the technical ability to enter the connection code, you can use a QR code to connect your device to WiFi simultaneously.
- Click on the "Get QR code" button.
- If you need to connect to WiFi using the same QR code, toggle the switch labeled "Wireless Connection" on
- Enter the network name and password of your WiFi network.
- Then press "Generate QR code."
- You will see a QR code that you can download or send to any messenger.
- To connect the device to WiFi, simply show this QR code to your DISPL sensor at a distance of 10-15 cm. WiFi and your device will automatically connect after a couple of seconds.
To add multiple device:
- Click the Add Device button and select Multiple section.
- Enter an arbitrary name for each of point to be added and click the "Add device" button.
- Copy the code from the window that appears. It will need to be entered at the broadcast points in the DISPL Player program.
- After copying the codes, the window can be closed.
- After entering the codes on the broadcast points, it will be connected to the platform and will become available for management from DISPL Manager and Designer.
To show or hide additional information on devices: device status, tags, location, click on the gear in the right corner of the section:
The following statuses are displayed for each device:
- Offline (device is offline);
- Playing (the campaign is playing on the device);
- Pause (campaign paused);
- Empty (none of the campaigns are assigned to the device);
- Error (the device encountered an unexpected error while playing);
- Not connected (the device is not connected to the platform).
In the right block of the devices page, you can see the main statistics by clicking on any element of which the filter will be automatically applied. Also, the entire list of tags is displayed here. If you select a specific tag, devices will be filtered by it:
The Devices page provides the ability to select several elements at the same time to perform group operations on them. For this:
- Click "Options"
- Click the "Select" button.
- Select desired broadcast points and broadcast point groups, the selection will be highlighted.
- You can also hold "shift" on the keyboard and select multiple devices by clicking.
- Follow the required steps.
Filter and reports by device
To multiply searching, click Enter+Ctrl, enter names of devices (a new line) and click the "Search" button.
The section has the ability to filter and search by devices, to call the filter, click the button in the upper right corner of the section.
Clicking on this button will open the filter panel
This panel allows you to filter the contents of the section by the following parameters:
- By name. Enter a name for the device in the Name field.
- By device(s) status. Select the required device statuses, or click on the "Not Connected" checkbox to display unconnected devices.
- By tags. Click the "+" button, select the desired tags and click "Apply".
- By properties. Select a property, and then click the "Select an Option" button to filter. If necessary, select more property(s) and add them in the same way.
- For additional attributes. Select an attribute and enter an attribute value to filter. If necessary, select more attribute(s) and add them in the same way.
- By subscription. To display a list of devices with a specific subscription, select the required one for filtering:
- Reset button. Removes values from all of the above parameters. Click the "Reset" button to clear the filter settings.
To perform a search, select the required parameters and click the "Apply" button, it is also possible to reset the filter.
It is possible to generate a devices report. You can request it by clicking on the "Options" button in the action bar and selecting "Send report" in the drop-down menu
After clicking the button, a window for sending a report will be displayed, in which you can select which email address the report will be sent to. After clicking "Submit", the report will be generated and sent to the specified email address.
The report contains the following information:
- Device ID;
- Device name;
- The path to the device in the "Devices" section on the platform;
- Device status;
- Date and time when the device was last online;
- Player version;
- Connection code (if the device has not yet been activated);
- Tags;
- Additional content device fields ("note", "address");
- Date and time the device was created on the platform;
- The date and time the device properties were updated;
- Date and time when the device was connected by the connection code;
- OS version;
- Device CPU model;
- The amount of RAM device;
- PC name;
- External and internal IP devices;
- Device time zone;
To view logs of broadcast points:
Select the device and click on the context menu (three dots, then select "Event Log":
You will be redirected to the "Event Log" page, the content of which will be filtered by the selected broadcast points.
To create a new directory.
Click the "Create Directory" button.
- In the window that opens, enter the name of the directory and click the "Create" button.
- The catalog will be added to the page.
- To change the name of a directory, open its context menu, select the "Rename" item, enter a new name for the directory in the window that opens, and click the "Rename" button. The directory name will be changed. Also in this section, you can change access for user groups and additionally add another directory or devices inside the directory.
You can move devices or a directory by using the "Select" button, select the necessary elements, click the "Move" button, in the window that opens, specify the directory in which you want to place the selected elements;
To move items one level up, use the above method, or drag the items one by one onto the Back button (applicable only in cases where the items are not located in the root directory).
To delete a directory, open its context menu and select the "Delete" item. The directory, including all broadcast points in it, will be removed from the platform.
When you click on a device, several tabs with its properties will appear:
1. Basic
Basic device settings: Getting a screenshot of the screen from the broadcast point, information about the device, setting the ability to change settings immediately in a large list of devices, tags, type of broadcast point, additional. device attributes, notes.
2. Management
Panel with quick actions on devices (stop campaign, restart campaign, device reboot, device update, device shutdown, volume).
Also in this section there is a command scheduler, data storage options, device operation time, data download interval and enabling p2p data transfer.
3. Address
Includes a field for filling in the address of the device, any details about the device, and information about the environment where the broadcast point is located.
4. Campaigns
A list of campaigns assigned to the device and the ability to immediately create a new campaign for a specific broadcast point from this point.
5. Subscriptions
List of added subscriptions and extensions to the device with the ability to assign new ones.
6. Profiling
Adding cycles to the device and related settings.
To assign tags to a broadcast point or a group of broadcast points, use one of the following actions:
1) For one device. Click on the device itself, a menu with properties will open:
In the window that opens, enter the name of the tag and click the "+Add" button
2) For a group of devices. Select the devices and in the properties check the box on the "Tags" tab, select "Add" and click done. In the window that opens, enter the name of the tag and click the "+Add" button.
If a tag is entered for a directory where broadcasting points are located, then the tag will be assigned to all devices in the directory.
To remove tags or overwrite them, you can put a checkbox in the properties on the "Tags" tab, select "Overwrite" and add either new tags or delete old ones.
For one device, you can remove any of the tags you are interested in in its properties by clicking on the cross in the right corner of the tag:
To change the settings for multiple devices, select one or more items on the page, a menu will appear on the right side of the platform with "Operations" that can be performed:
If you want to perform any operation by overwriting the settings on all devices, you need to select "Overwrite" and put a checkbox in front of the desired item from the "Basic" or "Management", after that you can enter the data you are interested in, or enable / disable the setting for several devices.
The broadcast point can be assigned a type to separate devices according to their purpose or device format:
To turn on notifications about problems encountered at broadcast points:
- Select the device, and by clicking on it, open the "Properties" menu, go to "Management"
- In the panel that opens in the block, switch the toggle switch to "Monitoring", it will turn green, click the checkmark in the right corner to save.
- The email addresses specified in the platform settings (Settings) will receive information about problems that have occurred at the selected broadcast points.
- To turn off notifications, turn off the "Monitoring" toggle switch so that it is gray.
To set the device's operating time, follow these steps:
- Select the device, and by clicking on it, open the "Properties" menu, go to "Management"
- In the panel that opens, in the "Working time" area, and set the time intervals you need, during which the selected broadcast points should work.
- In the lines with the days of the week, enter the time interval for the broadcasting points. If you need to use several time intervals within one day, use the "Add" buttons.
- Click the green checkmark button in the upper right corner to save your changes.
To control commands over broadcast points according to a schedule, there is a Command Scheduler, to use it you need to do:
- Select the device, and by clicking on it, open the "Properties" menu, go to "Management"
- In the panel that opens, in the "Command Scheduler" menu, you can select the type of command:
- Select the control command type, command/setting, and setting value (where applicable) from the menu in turn.
- Set up the command execution schedule. If an immediate launch is required, check the "Run now" box. If delayed execution and frequency setting are required, uncheck the "Run now" checkbox, fill in the "Date" and "Time" fields as required. If necessary, in the Periodicity field, select the type of periodicity and enter the required value in the specifying field.
- To execute the command, click the "Create" button and be sure to save the changes made.

To set the content download interval for broadcast points:
- Select the device, and by clicking on it, open the "Properties" menu, go to "Settings"
- In the panel that opens, in the "Download interval" area enter the time interval for the broadcasting points in the lines with the days of the week. If you need to use several time intervals within one day, use the "Add" buttons.
Traffic Shaper
The system allows you to limit the used width of the communication channel for a point/groups of points of broadcasting. Traffic shaper to limit the maximum content download speed at pre-configured scheduled intervals. It is useful not to download the communication channel during office hours by setting the maximum content download speed, for example, 256 kbps.
In the rows with the days of the week, enter the value of the download speed limit (empty value - the speed is not limited).
Click the Add button to save your changes.
Note! The download interval and traffic shaper settings are ignored when downloading the Face Recognition extension, which is necessary for the camera to work correctly. This extension is downloaded once during the first installation of DISPL Player and takes up about 125 MB of disk space.
In the "Address" property block, you can specify the address of the broadcasting point, any notes and indicate the environment, for a more precise indication of the specific location of the device:
In the "Campaigns" block, you will see all the campaigns assigned to the device:
By clicking on the icon, as in the screenshot, you will go to the editing interface for the selected campaign. When you click on the "To Campaigns" button, you will be taken to the main campaigns section of your personal account.
In the "Subscriptions" section, you will see the subscriptions and extensions already added to the device, or you can select the ones you need and assign them by clicking on the box with the name. You can assign an extension to a device using the "Add" button:
In the "Profiling" section, you can select a cycle profile from the already created ones:
