QR Code Provisioning allows you to install and configure DISPL Player during the initial setup of a compatible Android device.

This method is recommended when preparing a new or factory-reset Android device and allows DISPL Player to be provisioned during the Android setup process.

Requirements

Before starting, make sure the device meets the following requirements:

• Android 7.0 (SDK 24) or higher
• Google-certified device with GMS support
• Functional camera
• The device must be factory reset or new out of the box

If the device has already been configured, perform a factory reset before starting the provisioning process.

Step 1. Prepare the Android device

Make sure the Android device is powered off.

Power on the device and wait until the initial Android setup screen appears.

Do not complete the standard Android setup process. QR Code Provisioning must be started from the initial setup screen.

Step 2. Start QR Code Provisioning

On the initial Android setup screen:

1. Tap anywhere on the screen 6 times.
2. The QR Code Provisioning interface will appear.
3. If prompted, select the preferred language.

The device is now ready to scan the provisioning QR code.

Step 3. Scan the DISPL QR code

Use the device camera to scan the prepared DISPL provisioning QR code.

Make sure:

• the entire QR code is visible to the camera;
• the screen displaying the QR code is sufficiently bright;
• there is no glare or obstruction preventing the QR code from being recognized.
   

Once the QR code is recognized, the device will proceed with the provisioning process.

Step 4. Connect the device to Wi-Fi

When prompted, select a Wi-Fi network and enter the required credentials.

Make sure the network has a stable Internet connection, as Internet access is required to continue the setup process.

Step 5. Complete the setup

Follow the instructions displayed on the device.

Continue by selecting Next when prompted until the Android setup and provisioning process is complete.

After the setup is complete, DISPL Player is installed and ready for further configuration and connection to the DISPL platform.
