Template name

A template's name is it's official name, and it will be displayed at your Templates section in DISPL CMS. At his example below, the name is In-store brand zone analytics.

Template ID

Regardless of having a different name, a template is considered different from other template at DISPL CMS by it's Template ID. This ID is a 8-characters long alphanumeric value, for example: PEA7E43A

When to change the Template ID:

Imagine that your current template is a copy of another previous template, if it's template ID is not changed from the original template's ID, upon upload, the uploaded template with become a new version of the previous template, and not a new standalone template.

This template below has 2 versions. In the DISPL CMS, click at the "..." option at template.

This are the available versions of the template. This means I uploaded two differente template with the same Template ID. Thus, DISPL CMS assumes it's the same template, with minor changes, for it has the same ID.

How to change name and ID

1. Open or create a new template
   
2. Open Template Settings
   
3. Change the name and ID text inputs as desired.
