DISPL Player may integrate third-party softwares' local archives and online data into digital signage. This has many uses: displaying products with dynamic pricing for franchise stores, listing flight times for the tourism sector, showing a driver's license plate in a campaign from a license plate reader solution, offering daily promotions straight from the seller's server, triggering a digital signage effect by detecting when a visitor picks up certain product from the shelf, and many more - all automatically and discarding the need to manually edit a campaign's text or images.
Integrating third-party data into DISPL Player's sigital signage via RSS/XML/JSON
You will need a DISPL Designer subscription in order to use this feature; you may purchase it from DISPL Sales Team or contacting DISPL Support Team.
Third-party data may be used as commands for triggering scene changes, triggering a range of digital signage effects, as sources of information for text, and as source of images. The format of files accepted by DISPL Designer are RSS, XML and JSON.
DISPL Designer as of now, doesn't have features to write or change RSS, XML or JSON files - only to access and read them. So DISPL can only "listen" to outside sources to imprint changes in it's digital signage.
