The "Media Gallery" component is used to create a playlist of images and videos, with the capability of inserting ads.
Supported video formats for media display points:
- Windows – MP4 (H.264), FLV (H.263), FLV with alpha channel (transparency), AVI, MKV, MOV, WMV, DV, GXF, TS, TP, M4V, MPG, M2V, MXF, MPEG, MKV, PMF, PVA, AMV, NUV, M2TS, LXF, ASF, FLI, 3GP, NSV, MVI, NUT, SMV, VOB;
- iOS – FLV (H.263), FLV with alpha channel (transparency);
- OS X – MP4 (H.264), FLV (H.263), FLV with alpha channel (transparency);
- Android – MP4 (H.264), FLV (H.263), FLV with alpha channel (transparency).
"Media gallery" editor includes:
- content preview pane;
- component settings panel.
To make a component functional, it is necessary to fill it with content.
Content can be added to a component in various ways:
- from Media library;
- using the component settings panel.
In the "Gallery" tab, use the "Add" button and choose the file source – either from your computer or from the Internet ("Add files…" and "Add links…").
Alternatively just drag files from the Media library.
Click "Apply" or "OK" to save the changes made. The content will be added.
Any element of the content added to the component can be a link to another component of the project. When the project template is played at the media display point, the user, upon clicking on the link-bearing element, will be redirected to the specified part of the template.
One content element can only refer to one component within the project.
A project component shall be added before it can be linked.
To create a link to an external component:
- Open the "Gallery" tab in the settings panel.
- In the content row, click the "Add link" button.
3. Select the component to which the playback shall be redirected.
4. Link will be added.
5. Click "Apply" or "OK" to save the changes made.
The newly-created link between components will be shown on the Desktop.
To delete a link to an external component:
- Open the "Gallery" tab in the settings panel.
- In the content row, click the "Add link" button.
- Click on the link removal button.
- The link will be deleted.
- Click "Apply" or "OK" to save the changes made.
The link between components will no longer be shown on the Desktop.
To copy content:
- Open the "Gallery" tab in the settings panel.
- In the content row, click the "Copy" button.
- The content element will be copied, including links (if any).
- Click "Apply" or "OK" to save the changes made.
When an element is copied, the corresponding content file is not duplicated, but the same file is used.
To remove content:
- Open the "Gallery" tab in the settings panel.
- In the content row, click the removal button.
- The content element will be deleted.
- Click "Apply" or "OK" to save the changes made.
When an element is removed from the component list, the content file is not deleted.
To adjust content depending on the screen resolution:
- Open the "Settings" tab in the settings panel.
2. In "Content scaling", select one of the four available values:
- Real – content elements are of actual size;
- Extended – content elements are extended (subject to deformation, each side is set according to project size);
- Fit – content is fit (scaled according to the shorter side);
- Outfit – content is outfit (scaled according to the longer side).
- Content element scaling settings will be changed.
- Click "Apply" or "OK" to save the changes made.
To choose background for content playback:
- Open the "Settings" tab in the settings panel.
- In the "Background" field select the background color.
- The playback background will be changed accordingly.
- Click "Apply" or "OK" to save the changes made.
To make a playlist loop:
- Open the "Settings" tab in the settings panel.
- Check the "Repeat the playlist" box.
- The playlist will be put on repeat.
- Click "Apply" or "OK" to save the changes made.
To undo repeating, uncheck the "Repeat the playlist" box.
To play content in random order:
- Open the "Settings" tab in the settings panel.
- Check the "Random order" box.
- Playlist will be shuffled and played randomly.
- Click "Apply" or "OK" to save the changes made.
To toggle random shuffling off, uncheck the "Random order" box.
Switching to a different component after playback is finished.
Before applying this setting, the component to which the project template shall switch after content of the Media gallery have been played through, must be added to the template.
To set up switching:
- Open the "Settings" tab in the settings panel.
- Uncheck the "Random order" box.
- Click the "Link" button.
- Select the component to be switched to.
- Switching will be set up.
- Click "Apply" or "OK" to save the changes made.
The newly-created link between components will be shown on the Desktop.
The component selected for redirect can be changed in the same way as described above.
To remove redirect upon playback completion:
- Open the "Settings" tab in the settings panel.
- Click the "Link" button.
- Click the link removal button.
- The redirect will be removed.
- Click "Apply" or "OK" to save the changes made.
The link between components will no longer be shown on the Desktop.
Content display durations is used for all static content elements, e.g. for images.
To adjust display duration for content elements:
- Open the "Settings" tab in the settings panel.
- Enter the desired value into the "Duration" field.
- Display duration will be set for content elements.
- Click "Apply" or "OK" to save the changes made.
To set the content paging mode:
- Open the "Settings" tab in the settings panel.
- In the "Control type" field choose one of the two available values:
- none – for automatic paging of content;
- Tap – for automatic paging and manual paging by screen-tapping.
- The desired content paging mode will be set up.
- Click "Apply" or "OK" to save the changes made.
This component enables you to display cut-in ads at specified intervals. Each such cut-in ad can be an image, a video clip, a flash or PDF-file. Ads can be inserted into the component in several ways:
- from the Media library;
- from the component settings panel.
To set up intervals of playback, specify the period of time between two advertisements in the "Interval" field. The period of time shall be indicated as "Hours:Minutes:Seconds". Playback interval will be set up for the selected cut-in ad.
To change the order of playback of cut-in ads, drag the ads up and down the list. The ad on top of the list will be displayed first.
To remove a cut-in ad, click removal button in the corresponding row. The ad will be removed. Click "Apply" or "OK" to save the changes made.
